Will Jump in the woods perform at venues with noise limiters?
jump in the woods are not the loudest band in the world - but these things are triggered more by
frequency rather than volume so,
unfortunately not.
In common with most other bands we are unable to play through noise limiters because
they can result in frequent and embarrassing "cut outs" in the music.
Not only would this ruin the event for you and your guests
but it could also damage our equipment, for
which you would be liable.
If the limiter can not be disabled then please do not book us.
Note to venues: If your sound limiter is set below 90dB then even accoustic instruments will trigger it.
Talk to the band on arrival and insist that they play at an acceptable level - most good bands will not have a problem with this
but don't be suprised if many bands refuse to perform if the limiter can not be disabled
.
